10 SUMMARY OF PREVIOUS ACTIVITIES AT TANK SITE #1 <br />' This section summarizes all activities completed at Former Tank Site #1, <br /> located at 1515 West Weber Avenue <br /> 2.1 SUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES <br /> The following activities were completed at Tank Site #1 <br />' • Removal of a 2,000-gallon fuel UST (1988), <br /> • Performance of a soil gas survey, installation of three shallow soil <br /> borings, and installation of three monitoring wells for site <br />' characterization (1990), <br /> • Installation of two additional monitoring wells (1991.), <br />' • Excavation of hydrocarbon-containing soils (1993), <br /> • Further characterization of the residual TPH levels within the <br /> excavations (1994), <br /> • Routine monitoring of ground water chemical quality during the <br /> Mperiod from April 1991 through July 1999, and <br /> • Ground water remediation consisting of ground water extraction <br /> ' (three events performed during the period 1993 through 1994) and the <br /> use of oxygen regenerating compounds to enhance natural <br /> biodegradation <br /> A description of each of these activities is provided in the following <br /> ' sections Figures illustrating site features, sample and well locations, and <br /> presenting site data have been excerpted from previous reports and are <br /> included in Appendix B Table 3 presents all soil sampling data generated <br /> ' during Sates #1 and #2 investigations Tables 4 and 5 present all ground <br /> water data generated from Site #1 monitoring wells <br /> 2.2 TANK REMO VAL <br /> ' A 2,000-gallon fuel UST was removed from Former Tank Site #1 an <br /> November 1988 The tank was reported to be of single-wall steel <br /> ' construction Visual observations during tank removal indicated that the <br /> tank contained several holes At the time the tank was removed, the <br /> contents were reported to be unleaded gasoline fuel <br /> k12A{ 8 CATLLLUS/299614-10/13/99 <br />
