Box 2009
Stockton CA 95201
—MOORE-PETROLEUM, 5491 "F" STREET, BANTA - -PRELIMINARY;HYDROGEOLOGIC r
ASSESSMENT REPORT
We have reviewed the 8 September 1989 "Preliminary Hydrogeologic
Assessment Report" prepared by Delta Environmental consultants, Inc. ,
for this site. Two additional ground water monitoring wells were
installed during this phase of investigation. The report summarizes
information from a past investigation, and includes analytical results
for one complete round of sampling Based on the levels of hydrocarbon
contamination detected, three additional ground water monitoring wells
are proposed.
The proposed well locations appear adequate for investigating water
quality in the vicinity of the underground storage tank area. However,
only the four new wells are proposed to be sampled during this phase of
investigation. We believe that all the new and existing wells should be
included in this investigation.
Prior to implementing the proposed work plan we believe the new and
existing wells should be resampled to confirm the results of the
previous round of sampling. We also request that after purging the
wells the samples be taken with a bailer, rather than by pumping, to
assure that the samples are not being affected by the polyvinylchloride
tubing used in the pump.
If you have any questions, please call me at (916) 361-5731.
,Je?
THOMAS D.
