i <br /> t <br /> ET5 ENVIRONMENTAL <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> 'S <br /> This preliminary site assessment has been prepared by <br /> ETS Environmental for Mr. Jerry Macre of Moore Petroleum. <br /> This work was conducted as a preliminary investigation for <br /> the detection or hydrocarbon constituents in the subsurface <br /> prier to site renovation and/or a full scale site <br /> investigation. <br /> The site is located at 5491 "F" Street in Banta, ' <br /> California (Figures 1-1, 1--E) . Current activities at the <br /> site include bulk and automotive fuel dispensing,. Three <br /> small pump islands and a bulk dispensing island are located <br /> near the underground storage tanks and a card-lack system is <br /> situated slightly to the north on leased Southern Pacific <br /> Railroad property. <br /> 1. 1 PURPOSE <br /> The purpose of this preliminary site assessment is 'to <br /> review the phases of work completed thus far to determine the <br /> presence or atsence of hydrocarbon contaminations at the site. <br /> Samples of bath soil and groundwater were collected to make <br /> this determination. This assessment includes a section of <br /> recommendations for further field investigation. <br /> t. <br /> r- <br /> 1. 2 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The following scope of work was completed during the <br /> preliminary investigation. <br /> I. Drill, soil sample, and long one sail boring is <br /> groundwater at the location indicated on Figure 1--E. <br /> Soil samples were tested for hydrocarbon constituents <br /> using EPR method 5240 "Fuel Fingerprint" and TEL. f . <br /> 2. Continue the boring 8 feet below groundwater, as <br /> .rr <br /> encountered, and complete the boring as a well. It was <br /> installed to a total depth of 20 feet with -inch flush i. <br /> threaded PVC casing. Groundwater samples were collected <br /> -+ and tested using EPA method 524.2 "Fuel Fingerprint". <br /> ----------- <br /> 3. prepare a report summarizing findings, conclusions and ` <br /> recommendations for further action, if necessary. � <br /> ,i <br /> , i <br /> { <br /> .fayy <br />
