i
t
ET5 ENVIRONMENTAL
1.0 INTRODUCTION
'S
This preliminary site assessment has been prepared by
ETS Environmental for Mr. Jerry Macre of Moore Petroleum.
This work was conducted as a preliminary investigation for
the detection or hydrocarbon constituents in the subsurface
prier to site renovation and/or a full scale site
investigation.
The site is located at 5491 "F" Street in Banta, '
California (Figures 1-1, 1--E) . Current activities at the
site include bulk and automotive fuel dispensing,. Three
small pump islands and a bulk dispensing island are located
near the underground storage tanks and a card-lack system is
situated slightly to the north on leased Southern Pacific
Railroad property.
1. 1 PURPOSE
The purpose of this preliminary site assessment is 'to
review the phases of work completed thus far to determine the
presence or atsence of hydrocarbon contaminations at the site.
Samples of bath soil and groundwater were collected to make
this determination. This assessment includes a section of
recommendations for further field investigation.
t.
r-
1. 2 SCOPE OF WORK
The following scope of work was completed during the
preliminary investigation.
I. Drill, soil sample, and long one sail boring is
groundwater at the location indicated on Figure 1--E.
Soil samples were tested for hydrocarbon constituents
using EPR method 5240 "Fuel Fingerprint" and TEL. f .
2. Continue the boring 8 feet below groundwater, as
.rr
encountered, and complete the boring as a well. It was
installed to a total depth of 20 feet with -inch flush i.
threaded PVC casing. Groundwater samples were collected
-+ and tested using EPA method 524.2 "Fuel Fingerprint".
-----------
3. prepare a report summarizing findings, conclusions and `
recommendations for further action, if necessary.
,i
, i
{
.fayy
