r
t
ETS ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT 302
PAGE 2
2. 0 FINDINGS
During the installation of the sail boring, sail samples
and cuttings from the drilling operation were collected and
screened for hydrocarbon vaprars using a Draegger pump with
hydrocarbon specific tubes. The results of the screening are
}; tabled below.
Ia A "heavy" hydrocarbon odor, was detected thrclUghout the
interval drilled and a sheen was seen on the cuttings removed
from below groundwater. These cuttings were containerized
i-4 and remain on the site.
Two Sail samples and one groundwater sample were
collected from the baring/well and sent to a California State
Certified Laboratory for analysis. The
boring was advanced to a total depth of 2t> feet. Fifteen
feet of factory Derforated flush threaded casing and five
feet of blank casing were installed through the auger. : The
1 sand pack extended one and a half feet above the perforated
interval with one and a half feet of bentonite granules
placed on trap of it.
