(Apex), is pleased to provide you with the attached First Quarter
Quarterly Monitoring Report. Apex has been authorized by Moore Petroleum, Inc. ;
(Moore Petroleum),to reduce the frequency of monitoring form quarterly to semiannually.
The purpose for the reduction in monitoring is that this site has been quarterly monitored
since August 22, 1988, and the only remediation that has taken place at the site is the
temporary placement of a product skimmer in monitoring well MW-1.
t This site is tentatively scheduled for underground storage tank (UST) replacement and
upgrades in early 1995. At this time, Apex recommends that the UST basin be over-
excavated and any groundwater which enters the excavation be removed by use of vacuum
trucks. This method is the most economical way of removing any petroleum impacted soil
and groundwater which exists beneath this site.
Prior to any UST replacement, Apex will abandon any monitoring well which may be
effective from the proposed over-excavation. The next scheduled monitoring is in July
1994. If you have any questions, please call meat(916) 535-0200.
Sinc el
Tom Landwehr
Project Manager
cc: M.
