Third Quarter 1996 Groundwater Monitoring&Remediation Status Report
Moore Petroleum,Inc.,5491'T"Street,Banta,CA`
L. August 9,1996
fi Page 3
L
laboratory analytical reports and chain-of-custody form are included in Appendix B..
REMEDIATION STATUS
Influent and effluent vapor samples have been collected from the vapor extraction system on a
monthly basis to demonstrate compliance with the SJVUAPCD Permit conditions. Quarterly
results for the third uarter 1996 included the months of June and Jul -The air samples were
q Y mP
collected according to the Apex SOP included in Appendix A and submitted, under chain-of-
custody,to Sparger Technology,Inc. of Sacramento, California, a State-certified laboratory. The
air samples'were analyzed for concentrations of TPR as gasoline, and BTEX. Analytical reports
and chain-of-custody forms are included in'Appendix B. ;
During this reporting period, May 30 through August,2, 1996,the vapor extraction system has ,
averaged a flow'rate of 17 CFM. During this reporting period, vapor samples were collected for
'laboratory analysis on June 13 and July.19, 1996. Based on the vapor sample analytical results for
June 13, 1996,the system extraction rate was 0.22 pounds per day(lb./day) as TPK as gasoline,'
r and 0.0771b:/day of benzene.. Based the vapor sample analytical results for July 19, 1996,the
L system extraction rate was 1.9 pounds per day(lb./day) as TPK as gasoline,'and 0.015 lb./day of _
benzene. As of July 19, 1996,the vapor extraction system has extracted 1,590 pounds of TPR as .
gasoline, and 17.0 pounds of benzene. System operating data is contained in Table 3. Extraction''
rates and analytical results to date are summarized in'Table 4:
