1
Second Quarter 2002 Groundwater Monitoring Report
Moore Petroleum Buik Plant,5491 F Street,Banta,California
Page 5
i
Groundwater analytical results are summarized in Table 2. Figures 4 through 7 are
a isoconcentration maps for TPHg, TPHd, benzene, and MTBE, respectively. The laboratory
analytical reports and chain-of-custody forms are included in Appendix C.
} All purged and recovered liquids are stored temporarily on site in Department of Transportation-
approved, 55-gallon drums pending removal from the site by a licensed hauler to an appropriate
t disposal facility.
4 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Groundwater analytical results indicate petroleum hydrocarbons have been reduced in
concentrations at the site. MW-2, MW-3, MW-4, MW-5, and MW-9 were non-detect.for all
analyzed constituents.
The Rhodes domestic well was sampled on April 30, 2002, May 13, 2002, and June 18, 2002.
' Concentrations were non-detect for all analyzed constituents.
The isoconcentration maps (Figures 4-7) depict concentrations isolated onsite except for MTBE
(Figure 7) which shows the MTBE plume offsite to the east. However, the domestic well east of
MW-12 is non-detect, defining the extent of MTBE to the east.
Apex recommends continuing quarterly groundwater monitoring to confirm laboratory data and
monthly groundwater sampling of the domestic well. The next monitoring event is scheduled for
July 2002.
i
The SVE system was installed at the site 'and started on June 17, 2002. A permit compliance
source test was conducted on July 2, 2002. Source test results and subsequent system operating
data are contained in the forthcoming Source Test Results Report. The Source Test Results
Report will be finalized and distributed in August 2002.
Apex has received an Authority to Construct (A/C) permit from the SJVUAPCD for a new vapor
extraction unit and treatment system. System installation and start up is pending delivery of the
system. It is anticipated that the system will be installed and started In May 2002.
l
s
f
{
s
