w
Fourth Quarter 2004 Groundwater Monitoring Report
Moore Petroleum Bulk Plant,5491 F Street,Banta,California
Page 6
CONCLUSIONS }
Based on groundwater analytical results, concentrations remained consistent this quarter
compared with last quarter. Hydrocarbon concentrations classified as TPHd and TPHmo
continue to vacillate between each other due to laboratory interpretation of the results. The
domestic well sampling results for the three sampling events during the quarter were below
detection limits.
Groundwater elevations decreased an average 0.99 feet this quarter compared with last quarter.
Groundwater isoconcentration maps for TPHg, TPHmo, TPH kerosene, benzene, and MTBE
show the petroleum hydrocarbon plume defined downgradient, while the isoconcentration map
for TPHd and MTBE are not defined to the northeast. i
1
RECOMMENDATIONS
t
Apex recommends continued remediation and groundwater monitoring to confirm laboratory
data and monthly groundwater sampling of the domestic well. The next monitoring event is
scheduled for February 2005.
Apex is currently writing a results report for the installation of nine ozone sparge wells. Apex is
scheduling the installation of five additional groundwater monitoring wells and two CPT borings
as outlined in the workplan titled, Workplan for a Limited Subsurface Site Investigation, dated
January 14, 2004.
ADDITIONAL ACTIVITES PERFORMED AT SITE
Apex personnel supervised the installation of nine ozone sparge wells. Apex is currently writing
a results report documenting the installation of nine ozone sparge wells completed December 6-
9, 2004.
t .
