Limited Subsurface Site Investigation Results Report
Moore Petroleum Bulk Plant,5491 F Street,Banta,San Joaquin County,California
Page 6
Analytical Procedures
All soil and groundwater samples were submitted under chain-of-custody(COC) documentation
to California Laboratory Services of Rancho Cordova, California, a state-certified analytical
laboratory. The samples were analyzed for:
Analysis Abbreviation I Designation I USEPA Method hla.
Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons TPHg
as Gasoline
Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons TPHd Gas/Diesel-
as Diesel
Range 8015 Modified
Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons Kerosene Hydrocarbons
as Kerosene
Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons TPHmo
as Motor Oil
Benzene Aromatic
Toluene BTEX Volatile 8021B
Eth !benzene Organics
Xylenes (Total)
Tertiary Butyl Alcohol TBA
Methyl Tertiary But
I Ether MTBE Fuel
Di-isopropyl Ether DI PE Oxygenates
Ethyl Tertiary Butyl Ether ETBE 8260B
Tertiary Amy] Methyl Ether TAME
1,2-Dichloroethane 1,2-DCA Lead
Ethylene Dibromide EDB Scaven ers
In addition to the analyses listed in the table above, the 4:1 composite soil stockpile sample was
also analyzed for total lead by EPA Method 6010. Soil and groundwater analytical results for the
site are presented in Table 2. Copies of the laboratory results and COC documentation are
presented in Appendix E. All soil and rinsate water generated during drilling activities is being
stored onsite in Department of Transportation (DOT) approved 55-gallon drums.
CONCLUSIONS
According to the soil analytical data:from the installation of wells MW-13, MW-14, MW-16 and
MW-17, all analyzed constituents were below laboratory detection limits (Table 2).
Groundwater analytical results indicated the presence of TPHmo in CPT-1 sampled at 78-feet
bgs, as well as all four groundwater samples collected from CPT-2. MTBE concentrations were
detected in the first samples collected from both CPT-1 at 30 feet bgs and CPT-2 at 28 feet bgs.
Groundwater analytical results are included as Table 3.
i
