R.1
Interim Remediation Plan and Second Quarter 2001 Groundwater Monitoring Report
Moore Petroleum Bulk Plant,549E F Street,Banta,California
Page 8
The laboratory analytical reports and chain-of-custody forms are included in Appendix D.
Analytical :results are summarized in Table 5.
All purged and recovered liquids are stored temporarily on site in Department of Transportation-
approved, 55-gallon drums pending removal from the site by a licensed hauler to an appropriate
disposal facility.
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Conclusions
1 Groundwater analytical results indicate shallow groundwater beneath the site has been impacted
by petroleum hydrocarbons. MW-2, MW-5, and the Rhodes domestic well were non-detect for
all analyzed constituents. Results for wells with detectable concentrations are as follows:
• MW-1: TPHd was non-detect this quarter. MTBE decreased this quarter while TBA
and motor oil was detected.
• MW-3: TPHd decreased to below detection limits while motor oil was detected this
quarter. All other analyzed constituents were non-detect.
• MW-4A: All analyzed constituents were below, detection limits except-for MTBE,
which decreased this quarter.
MW-7: All constituents above detection limits last quarter have decreased this quarter
except total xylenes.
MW-8: All constituents above detection limits last quarter have decreased this quarter
with the exception of MTBE, which increased slightly. Motor oil was detected for the
first time this quarter.
• MW-9: All constituents above detection limits last quarter have increased this quarter.
Motor oil was detected for the first time this quarter.
• MW-10: TPHg and TPHd increased this quarter. BTEX except xylenes decreased
and MTBE decreased to below detection limits this quarter.
• MW-11: TPH motor oil was the only detected constituent and decreased this quarter.
• MW-12: TPH motor oil and MTBE were the only detected constituents, and
decreased this quarter.
1
