Investigations currently underway across Byron Road to the north,
under CVRWQCB oversight, are analyzing soil and groundwater
samples for Chlorinated Hydrocarbons and Polychlorinated
Biphenyls . Total Recoverable Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Oil and
Grease by EPA 418 . 1 are also being investigated. PHS-EHD
recommends that you also test for these constituents on samples
obtained from your proposed investigation.
On November 15, 1994 , a representative of V&W Drilling submitted
a boring permit application and a $89 . 00 fee for each site . On
November 17, 1994 the required five hour prepayments were
received and receipted at PHS-EHD for each site .
Prior to issuance of the boring permits and the scheduling of
your driller, an addendum addressing the above mentioned concerns
shall be submitted to, and approved by PHS-EHD.
Please be advised, that although this submittal and review
process is nearly completed for this phase of investigation,
PHS-EHD recommends that future work requiring review and permit
issuance be submitted so that the normal review time of two to
three working weeks may be allotted.
Please contact Michael Infurna at (209) 468-3454 to schedule your
appointments to witness your field activities .
Donna Heran, RENS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Michael Infurna, Senior REHS Diane M.
