Tosch October 11 , 1990 <br /> Civil Engineer <br /> CE # 14644 <br /> 1229 Goldenoak Way <br /> Stockton, CA 95209 <br /> Phone: ( 209 ) 478-4606 <br /> San Joaquin County Local Health District <br /> Enviromental Health Division <br /> Subject : Soil Suitability Study (Parcel Map No. MS-90-89) <br /> Submitted for your review are the results of a Soil <br /> Suitability Study on the Moses and Nafisa Taghioff <br /> property located at 6660 Durham Ferry Road, Tracy, CA. <br /> Existing Septic Systems <br /> Existing San Joaquin County records were reviewed for the <br /> vicinity of the subject property. <br /> Three permits were found. The septic systems were installed <br /> September 6, 1977, December 14, 1985, and June 17 , 1987. No <br /> problems were recorded. <br /> Existing Use <br /> The existing 166 .46 acres is in alfalfa along with a house, <br /> two mobile homes and other improvements . <br /> Percolation Tests <br /> The percolation tests were performed in accordance with the <br /> percolation test procedures outlined in the "Manual Septic <br /> Tank Practice" , published by the U.S . Department of Health, <br /> Education and Welfare, and per requirements of the San Joaquin <br /> County Local Health District . <br /> On July 23, 24; September 17 , 18; October 4 and 5 , 1990, six <br /> percolation tests were performed by me on the above referenced <br /> property in conformance with the San Joaquin Ordinance No. 549 . <br /> The approximate location of the test holes are shown on the <br /> accompanying Detail Map. <br /> Four shallow percolation tests were performed and all four <br /> failed. Two deep percolation tests were performed . Deep <br /> test hole No. 1 had a percolation rate of 40 minutes per <br /> inch and deep test hole No. 2 had a percolation rate of <br /> 60 minutes per inch. A 35 ' profile was performed and no <br /> water was encountered. <br /> It is recommended that the number of pits and length of <br /> leach lines that would normally be required be doubled and <br /> an alternating "D" box be installed. <br />
