j KLEINFELDEK
File No. 20-2949-11
August 6, 1990
On July 24, 1990, our representative returned to the site
to perform the 3-foot deep percolation test. As per San
Joaquin County guidelines, the test was performed for a
period of 4 hours . The last 30 minutes of the test were
used to calculate the percolation rate. In order to use
standard leach lines, the County requires a percolation
rate of 60 minutes per inch, or faster, at the 3-foot
depth. The 3-foot deep test performed passed with a
percolation rate of 15 minutes per inch. The county
approved percolation test sheet is included with this
report.
ITEM C-3 •
"The depth and gradient of the groundwater table. "
During our residence surveys on July 20, 1990, we were able
to measure groundwater in 3 wells . The groundwater was
measured at between 22 feet (location 5 on Plate I) and 33
feet (locations 3 and 4 on Plate I) below existing ground
surface. Groundwater was estimated at approximately 29 and
31 feet deep by the 2 other well owners, where measurements
could not be obtained. Regional groundwater maps published
by the San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water
Conservation District, Plate II, indicate groundwater in
this area was approximately 30 feet below existing ground
surface in the fall of 1989 .
Based on County requirements for a small single parcel
split, we are not required to establish an on-site
groundwater gradient by drilling test borings . We are
3
