File No. 20-2949-11 XLEiN ELDER
December 20, 1990
the quality of groundwater. However, the proposal involves
only a 1-1/2-acre split from a larger 25-acre parcel.
Therefore, even with groundwater at approximately 22 to 33
feet deep, the likelihood of a significant change in the
nitrate level of the groundwater beneath the site, due to
a single septic system, is very remote. If additional
development is planned in the area, we suggest that
consideration be given to completing a nitrate loading
study.
The septic system should be located and future wells should
be constructed following county requirements. Continuous
monitoring of the septic system should be maintained
throughout the duration of its use. Once this report is
reviewed by the San. Joaquin County, Environmental Health
Services, we would be pleased to furnish a proposal for
providing whatever additional information the County may
require for their evaluation.
Copyright 1990 Kleinfelder, Inc. 4
