(AGE)has prepared the enclosed Phase II Site <br /> Assessment Report for the property at corner of Filbert and Myrtle, Stockton, California. The work <br /> was performed as part of a due diligence effort to investigate areas of potential environmental <br /> concern at the site, identified through a Phase I Update investigation of the property. <br /> The Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board requirements for the investigation of <br /> underground storage tank(UST) sites was used as guidelines for the investigation. The location of <br /> the site and its surroundings are illustrated in Figure 1; major features on the site and.boring <br /> locations are illustrated in Figure 2. <br /> INTRODUCTIONIBACKGRO UND <br /> The site is a vacant property that was formerly the Disco Warehouse;it is located at the intersection <br /> of Filbert and Myrtle streets, in an area of mixed commercial and light industrial use (Figure 2). <br /> Features on the property include vacant Moldings,an asphalt-paved yard area,and a'-]ow lying"area <br /> immediately east of the Disco Warehouse. <br /> Research for a Phase I site assessment update indicated the use of fuel oil and other hazardous <br /> materials at the former Del Monte Foods Unit E parcel, based on the 31 May 2002 Phase I <br /> Environmental Site Assessment conducted by Kleinfelder Inc. The Phase I site assessment update <br /> also noted the existence of a hazardous material storage area, a "low lying" area with severely <br /> damaged asphalt, a stained pad mounted transformer and an adjacent railroad spin' with noted <br /> possible contaminates.
