CH2M HILL HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN This plan will be kept onsite during field activities and will be reviewed and updated as necessary. This plan adopts, by reference, the standards of practice (SOP) contained in the CH2M HILL Waste Management and Industrial Processes Discipline Health and Safety Manual, Volumes 1 and 2, and other applicable C112M HILL SOPS as appropriate. The Site Safety Coordinator (SSC) is to be familiar with these SOPS. In addition, this plan adopts procedures contained in the work plan for the project. This plan applies only to CH2M HELL employees and CH2M HILL subcontractor employees. It does not authorize any health and safety responsibility for nonemployees nor any other firm or entity not acting as subcontractor to C112M HILL. 1.0 PROJECT INFORMATION AND DESCRIPTION CLIENT OR OWNER: Del Monte PROJECT NO: BAE31604.AS.T3 PROJECT MANAGER: Grant Stewart OFFICE: BAR SITE NAME: Del Monte Plant 33 SITE ADDRESS: 1110 North Filbert St., Stockton, CA DATE HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN PREPARED: 09/21/94 DATE(S) OF SITE WORK: September 1994 - December 1994 SITE ACCESS: Gate entrances along North Filbert Street SITE SIZE: The site comprises two parcels: Northern Parcel (Active fruit canning) - 20 acres and Southern Parcel (Disco Warehouse) 7.5 acres STTE TOPOGRAPHY: Del Monte Plant 33 is located in the generally flat-lying area in the San Joaquin Valley. SITE DESCRIPTION AND HISTORY: Del Monte's Plant 33 Disco property is located near the intersection of Myrtle Street and Filbert Street in Stockton, California. Three 10,000-gallon underground gasoline tanks were used by a previous owner of" the property and were removed in 1985. A soil and groundwater investigation conducted by CH2M HILL in 1991 revealed that gasoline constituents from the tanks are present in the soil and shallow groundwater. The results of the soil and groundwater investigation are presented in C112M HILL's "Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study, Disco Tank Site, Stockton, California(February 1992)" (RDFS). 1 SF01001385F.WP5
