20-foot deep excavation Surround with 6-feet high chain-link fence topped with barbed <br /> wire to prevent entry during non-work hours. Property has <br /> 6-feet high (topped with barbed wire) fence surrounding <br /> property. Install two ladders (protruding > 3 feet above <br /> excavation). Have 40-foot rope with tensile strength > 250 <br /> lbs. Post warning signs. <br /> Inspections of excavations, adjacent areas, and protective <br /> systems to be made by a competent person. Inspections to <br /> be made prior to start of work, as needed throughout the day, <br /> and at least daily for evidence of a situation that could result <br /> in possible caveins, indications of possible failure of <br /> protective systems, hazardous atmospheres, or other <br /> hazardous conditions.
