The survey was undertaken to evaluate potential influences of
past and present groundwater withdrawal by water supply wells on groundwater flow
direction and gradient at the Disco property. The survey identifies wells within 2,000 feet
of the Disco property and wells between 2,000 feet and 1 mile of the Disco property. Table
1 is the current updated well survey.
Sources that were contacted and provided information to verify and update the existing
well survey include:
0 Stockton East Water District
0 Cal Water Service
0 City of Stockton M.U.D.
0 San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
0 Del Monte Plant 33
0 Lipton
0 California Department of Water Resources
Seven additional wells have been added since the 1992 survey was completed, including
three Del Monte Plant 33 wells, two Lipton wells,Plant K Partners well, and City of
Stockton Stribley Park well. Information for the Cal Water Service,Valley Bean Warehouse
and Diamond Walnut wells has been updated. Additional well construction information
for the Plant K Partners well was also obtained. Telephone conversations with Mr. Eric Mar
of Cal Water Service revealed that a previously identified well (Map ID 4) has never existed,
although the parcel of land is owned by Cal Water Service. Available geologic logs and well
construction data are included in Attachment A.
The updated survey indicates that the three Del Monte wells(Map ID 1,2, and 3),located
between approximately 540 and 810 feet north of the Disco property are the only major
water supply wells located within 2,000 feet of the Disco property. The next closest well,
owned by Cal Water Service (Map ID 5),is located about one-half mile west of the Disco
property and has not been used for the last 20 years.
