MEMORANDUM
99 HAR -9 'ii 1: 1 Q
Well Survey Update
TO: Ron Rowe/San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Margaret Lagorio/San Joaquin County Public Health Services
COPIES: Richard Fish/Del Monte
Steve Ronzone/Del Monte
Nancy Bice/Geomatrix
FROM: Kim Ries/CH2M HILL
Amy Hopper/CH2M HILL
DATE: March 5, 1998
As part of the additional work identified in the February 11, 1998 meeting,Del Monte is
{ updating the existing 1992 well survey to help evaluate past and present pumping
influences on the groundwater at the Disco property. The survey identifies wells within
2,000 feet of the Disco property that may present a pumping influence on groundwater at
the Disco property. The survey also identifies wells between 2,000 feet and 1 mile of the
Disco property. Table 1 is the current updated well survey.
Sources that were contacted and provided (or are in the process of providing) information
jto verify and update the existing well survey include:
j • Stockton East Water District
j • Cal Water Service
• Stockton M.U.D.
j • San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
• Del Monte Plant 33
• Lipton
Seven additional wells have been added since the 1991 survey was completed, including
three Del Monte Plant 33 wells, two Lipton wells,Plant K Partners well, and City of
Stockton Stribley Park well. Information for the Cal Water Service,Valley Bean Warehouse
and Diamond Walnut wells has been updated.
Additional information on construction details and capacity will be provided by Lipton for
their two currently active wells (Map ID 21 and 22), and by the City of Stockton for the
Diamond Walnut wells. We are currently collecting information on well construction and
pumping volume for the Plant K Partners and Stribley Park wells. Several wells listed in
the 1992 survey as Rumi Statow, Frank Raffel, and Valley Bean Warehouse (Map ID 13, 14,
and 15),have not been confirmed with any of our listings from the above sources. These
wells may be private, single residence/business unit wells and would not be expected to
exert a significant pumping influence on groundwater at the Disco property.
1 If you have any questions or comments on this assembled information, please contact Kim
Ries at (510) 251-2888 ext. 2083 or Amy Hopper at(510) 251-2888 ext. 2015. As mentioned in
1
W_SURVEYMEMOAOC 1
