Weber Ave.,Third Floor
Stockton,CA 95202
Subject: March 2001 groundwater monitoring results for Disco Property,Stockton,
California
Dear Ms. Lofstrum:
Enclosed please find the March 2001 groundwater monitoring report for the Disco site.
CH2M HILL is submitting this report on behalf of Del Monte. Del Monte has reviewed and
approved of this report. The groundwater sample results and the groundwater flow
direction continue to be consistent with previous sampling events.
The March 2001 sampling event was the fourth consecutive quarter of sampling all wells at
the site for gasoline additives 1,2-DCA,EDB,and TBA. These compounds have never been
detected in upgradient and cross-gradient monitoring wells MW-DIS-3,-4,-5,-6,-7S,-7D,
-8S,-81),-9, and-10. Sampling for 1,2-DCA,EDB,and TBA in these wells will be
discontinued.
Monitoring wells MW-DIS-1,MW-DIS-2,NP-1-70,-80,-90,SVE-South,and SVE-North will
continue to be sampled semi-annually for TPH-gas,BT6X, 1,2-DCA,and EDB. TBA has been
non-detect in all wells for at least 4 quarters except SVE-North. SVE-North will continue to
be sampled for TBA on a semi-annual basis.
Note: In order to continue the accurate assessment of the groundwater flow direction,
water level measurements in all wells, and evaluation of the groundwater gradient will
continue to be performed on a quarterly basis.
The Second Quarter 2001 monitoring event will consist of collecting water level
measurements only.
If you have any questions or comments please feel free to call me at(510)251-2888 ext. 2101,
or Richard Fish at 925-944-7276.
i
