Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
Dear Mr. Collins:
Subject: Quarterly Groundwater Quality Monitoring Results for Del Monte Plant 33,
110 North Filbert Street (Disco Property), Stockton, California
This report presents the analytical results for groundwater monitoring wells located at Del
Monte Plant 33, 110 North Filbert Street (Disco Property) in Stockton, California.
Monitoring wells at Del Monte Plant 33 were sampled on January 11 and 12, 1994 as part
of the quarterly groundwater quality monitoring program.
Also, on behalf of Del Monte, we wish to thank you for meeting with us on February 16,
1994 to discuss the planned soil and groundwater treatment system for the Disco Property.
We look forward to coordinating with you on this project.
PROJECT BACKGROUND
Del Monte's Plant 33 Disco property is located near the intersection of Myrtle Street and
Filbert Street in Stockton, California. Three 10,000-gallon underground gasoline tanks
were used by a previous owner of the property and were removed in 1985. A soil and
groundwater investigation conducted by CH2M HILL in 1991 revealed that gasoline
constituents from the tanks are present in the soil and shallow groundwater. The results of
the soil and groundwater investigation are presented in CH2M HILL's "Remedial
Investigation/Feasibility Study, Disco Tank Site, Stockton, California (February 1992)"
(RI/FS).
The groundwater investigation included the installation of eight monitoring wells (Figure 1)
i
and revealed that gasoline constituents had migrated from the underground tanks into the
quartorly.rep
CH2M HILL 1717 Broadway,P.O.Box 12681,Oakland,CA 94604-2681 570251-2426 Fax 510 893-8205
