`i
SAN JOAQUIN FARM bUREAU fEdERATIoN
MEETING TODAY'S PROBLEMS/PLANNING FOR TOMORROW
June 14 , 1990
RECE, y
1
1011 .18 19,9,1)
Mr. Chandler Martin AL j '0"4Q1 j!/V C ..
San Joaquin County Planning Division '16, 0UjV rV
1810 E . Hazelton
Stockton, CA 95205
Dear Mr. Martin,
The San Joaquin Farm Bureau Federation is concerned with minor
subdivision application number MS-90-87 , to create an owner-
operator and two family member parcels from a 50 . 13 acre parcel, we
realize this is allowable in the current General Plan and
Development Code.
The Farm Bureau is cognizant of the abuse taking place under
the current Homesite Lot Split provisions . After contacting the
applicant we want to encourage the Planning Staff to scrutinize
this application. The applicant should demonstrate that this is
legitimate and not an abuse promoted by a realtor. For the facts
to come out it would be best to have a hearing before the Planning
Commission.
The Board of Directors of the San Joaquin Farm Bureau has
adopted a policy of encouraging change in the General Plan 2010 and
the development code to delete the Homesite Lot Split allowance.
This was done in an effort to negate to abuse taking place in San
Joaquin County.
Your consideration of our recommendation would be greatly
appreciated.
Sincerely,
45
TYLER WNMMOND
Natural Resources
Program Director
TH:sig
POST nFFI(-F BOX 8444 9 3290 NORTH AD ART WAY • (209) 931-4931 • STOCKTON.
