This ordinance was not intended as a free opportunity for a
farmer to split off a lot for sale, or to allow the farmer to
sell or rent to others the residence in which the farmer
currently resides. The original intent of the ordinance was to
allow farmers and family members to continue to reside on the
farms they worked. The intent was to allow them to finance, or
refinance, the farm land on which they lived so that they could
build a new residence for family members. This case represents
another abuse of this well intended ordinance. Mr. Serrano urges
that the Planning Staff and Planning Commission deny the
application.
Dated: June 22, 1990 Connolly Law Office:
XC
MARK V.
