TA4L HEALThCOPY96 JP12!$ PM 12; 54
January 29, 1996
Donna Hran, Division Manager
San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division
Post Office Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
CM OF STOCKTON LEAKM I'. ER"QM EM TANK SITES
We have reviewed the Lawrence -Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) report on leaking
underground storage tank cleanup. Based on this report, can we expect changes in the cleanup
processes being used in the City of Stockton? We would like to discuss the impact this report
and its probable acceptance may have on sites with remediation currently in:progress.
We have a meeting scheduled on January 30, 1996, at 1:30 p.m with Dianne Hinson's group
to review the status of our sites. If passible, we would like to include this issue on the agenda
for that meeting. Since the City has a number of unmet needs, we are very concerned about
spending fins unnecessarily for remediation,
JAMES ESCOBAR
DEPUTY PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTORIO&M
JEeh
cc.
