Lori Duncan [EH]
From: Greg Matukitis [ergo999@sbcglobal.net]
Sent: Thursday, October 09, 2008 11:40 AM
To: Lori Duncan [EH]
Cc: Eric Price
Subject: Extension Request for Work Plan of Casey Matt Property
TO: Lori Duncan, REHS
Senior Registered Enviornrnental Health Specialist
I am writing to request a six month extension of the Work Plan for Soil Investigation of the Casey Matt
property in Escalon submitted by Ground Zero in August 2008.
In your letter of August 28, you approved the Work Plan with conditions and stated that the deadline for
implementation of the Work Plan would be November 7, 2008 and that the results would be due for
submittal within 60 days following completion of the fieldwork.
Due to the unforseen financial burden of several hospitalizations of immediate family members, the
costs of hiring in-home health care aides as well as the extraordinary financial crisis, we are quite simply
unable to bear the additional cost of the Work Plan at this time. This is only a temporary difficulty. We
fully expect to resume the soil investigation as soon as possible and hopefullly close this open site.
Please allow us six additional months from the date above to begin implementation of this soil
investigtion.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
Greg Matukitis
10/9/2008
