Drill Report
Permit No. 07-390-SB
January 8, 2008
All soil samples were also analyzed for moisture content using EPA Method 160.3 so that analytical
' results could be presented on a dry weight basis.
The analytical data for these soil samples are presented in the analytical report which has been
' included as Appendix B.
Decontamination Procedures
' Direct-push drill rods, the hand auger, shovels, and post-hole digging tools were decontaminated
between boreholes using a steam cleaner. Hand sampling tools (such as hand trowels) and core
shoes were decontaminated using a three step wash, which consisted of scrubbing with brushes,
twashing with Liquinox® and potable water, and finishing with two distilled water rinses.
All decontamination wastewater was subsequently transferred into a UN-rated 55-gallon drum and
' staged onsite with the drums containing soil cuttings. A representative water sample was collected
from each drum for analytical testing to profile the waste for subsequent disposal off-site.
' Closing
For reference, we have attached a copy of the approved permit as Appendix C.
