The two general
down gradient wells #2 and #3 should continue to be sampled on a quarterly basis to monitor any
changes in the concentrations of contaminants in the groundwater and to effectively monitor any migration
of the contaminant plume. The upgradient well #1 can be sampled on a semi-annual basis at this time.
At least one of the sampling events for this well should occur when the water table would be at it's highest
level, usually in the spring.
Future changes in the sampling frequency should be based on the historical data generated from the site
and on environmental factors which may be specifically influencing this site, such as fluctuations in the
water table, changes in the contaminants' distribution in the groundwater or changes in the groundwater
flow patterns.
If you have any questions, please contact Linda Turkatte, REHS, of my staff at (209) 468-0339.
JogiKhanna M.P.H.
Health O
v to
tie A S, Program Manager
nvironmental Health Division
LAC/lt
c: CVRWQCB-Beth Thayer c: COS City Manager-Duane Milnes
c: COS Public Works-Jim Escobar c: COS Public Works-Stephen Chen
c: COS Public Works-Sara Cortes c: RESNA Escalon-John Lane
A Division of San Joaquin Counry Health rare Scmca
