..i City of Stockton Page 3 -The disposition of the emergency domestic well was discussed. The regulatory authority for the well has not Yet been determined. However, PHS/EHD recommends that any well that is no longer serving the purpose for which it was drilled should be destroyed. This issue may be discussed in more detail at the May 11, 1992 meeting. FONTANA DRIVE/SMITH CANAL -Further soil and groundwater contaminant plume definition and soil remediation work may be achieved through change orders through the Stockton City Council. Future work at the site will be based on the analytical results of the groundwater sampling and the tank removal sampling. -Fecal coliform sampling and testing will be conducted by COS's Municipal Utilities Department (MUD) . The laboratory will forward the information to RESNA for incorporation into the quarterly reports. The MUD requested a letter of quality control/quality assurance sampling procedures from RESNA. -The agricultural well at the site will be destroyed under permit through PHS/EHD. It will take COS approximately six months to obtain funding for the destruction and will require a formal bid process. A water sample, static water level and total depth measurements will be taken during the mid March 1992 sampling event. The information gathered from the measurements as well as the analytical results from the sampling will determine how the well will be destroyed. -During the third quarter of monitoring PHS/EHD will send a letter to COS requesting continuation of the quarterly monitoring for the next year (September 1992) . 2500 NAVY DRIVE -A work plan will be submitted to PHS/EHD which will include hand augered soil borings to estimate the residual soil contamination in order to prepare a re-excavation work plan (April 1992) .
