We are i.n the. process of <br /> obtaining bids and hiring a well drilling firm to do the work. I have included in the <br /> job specifications that the contractor coordinate with you to allow you the <br /> opportunity to be on-site when the pump is removed. <br /> To ensure that the water sample taken. from our well is representative of the <br /> groundwater, the contractor will be required to pump the well for six continuous <br /> hours. The water pumped from the well will be directed into a sanitary sewer manhole <br /> and sent to the treatment plant. <br /> To perform the sample testing that you have requested, we intend to hire an <br /> independent lab to do the sampling arid. testing. Our department does .not have the <br /> capability of obtaining a sample from the well or completing all the requested tests. <br /> We. expect to have the sample pulled within a few days aftE:r the pump is removed. <br /> You may assist us by providing the names of any labs that you know have the capability <br /> of obtaining the sample as well as performing the tests.. <br /> If you have any questions, please contact me at 944-£3731.
