A 5, 000 gallon tank, g <br /> still in place at this location. <br /> B. Description of Hazardous Wastes and Substances <br /> Petroleum contamination in the soil and groundwatr were <br /> discovered during the "pre-tank-pull" investigation. <br /> Additionally, total coliform was discovered in the groundwater <br /> samples with a count of greater than 1, 600 most probable <br /> number. <br /> i C. Threat to Public Health and Environment <br /> I+ Gasoline (2, 000 ,parts per billion) ; diesel (32, 000 parts per <br /> billion) and fecal coliform (2 .2 to 80 most probable number) <br /> have been found in the groundwater samples analyzed at this <br /> site. The irrigation well, in addition to the three <br /> i monitoring wells, need further investigation. <br /> 1 <br /> i II. Site Status <br /> i <br /> A. Status of Site Activity <br /> The City of Stockton, Smith Canal Pumping Station, has entered <br /> into the Local Pilot Program. Further investigation will be <br /> necessary to define the plume of contamination in the soil and <br /> groundwater. <br /> B. Projected Revenue Sources <br /> The City of Stockton will pay all costs associated with the <br /> site investigation and cleanup. <br />
