v
f='I A S S O C I A T E S I N C
r . 2_4 Soil and Groundwater Sample Analysis
Two selected soil samples were analyzed by Argon Laboratories for TPHd by EPA Method
8015M. The analytical results for soil samples are summarized in Table 1. Groundwater
x'11' samples collected during the quarterly monitoring event were analyzed by Sequoia Analytical for
TPHd by DHS LUFT method. The analytical results for groundwater samples are summarized
f-= in Table 3. Laboratory data sheets and chain-of-custody documentation are included in
Appendix B.
= 3.0 SUBSURFACE CONDITIONS
= 3_1 Geology
Soil encountered in boring MW7 consisted primarily of clay, to a depth of approximately 22 feet
below grade. From approximately 22 to 26.5 feet bgs, the maximum depth explored, soil
_. consisted of coarse to fine grain sand.
3.2 Hydrogeolozy
cTf
On February 13, 2002, groundwater beneath the site during this monitoring event was
encountered at depths ranging from 9.62 to 13.01 feet bgs and is summarized in Table 4. Based
on groundwater monitoring data collected on February 13, 2002, groundwater generally flows to
the northeast and the groundwater gradient was calculated to be 0.003 or 16 feet per mile.
On April 3, 2002, groundwater beneath the site during this monitoring event was encountered at
depths ranging from 9.32 to 12.82 feet bgs. Based on groundwater monitoring data collected on
April 3, 2002, groundwater generally flows to the north and the groundwater gradient was
3 calculated to be 0.003 or 16 feet per mile.
A slight mounding effect was observed near MW7 during the February 2002 event, Following
well development, this mounding effect was no longer observed. Groundwater contour maps
were generated based on monitoring data collected from the February and April 2002 monitoring
events and are shown on Figures 3 and 4, respectively.
w;lWordpro162574162574.021Reportslwell_insU l.doc
i;F
