M
V %TC
:. A S S O C I A T E S I N C .
= I
f
7. ATC performed a well survey for the site. The search revealed twenty-two wells within
approximately 2,000 feet of the site. None of the wells were located close enough to the
site to be considered potential receptors. The closest well is approximately 1,000 feet
from the site. Smiths Canal is located approximately 100 feet to the south of the site.
Historical groundwater gradients measured at the site and regional groundwater gradient
information indicate that groundwater flows to the north-northeast. Based on Smiths
Canal's upgradient location from the site, it is unlikely that the canal has been impacted by
petroleum hydrocarbons from the site.
- 6.0 RECOMMENDATIONS
} Based on the soil and groundwater data compiled and included in this technical report, ATC
Associates recommends passive remediation of the petroleum hydrocarbons beneath the site.
ATC Associates recommends performing additional quarterly monitoring events and analyzing
groundwater samples for TPHd to confirm stability of the plume. The next monitoring event is
scheduled for fourth quarter 2000.
:s1
4
•='r=Y•r::r1
rr•/
-s7
L-:I
i
wA62574.021repotU\RPT-pump ted.dm 7
