Working To Restore Nature
LABORATORY ANALYSIS
Collected groundwater were analyzed for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes (BTEX) and total
petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPHd)by Sequoia Analytical, a State-certified laboratory, utilizing
EPA methods 8020 and modified 8015, respectively. Analytical results are summarized in Table 3.
Laboratory data sheets and chain-of-custody documentation are included in Attachment 2.
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Laboratory results indicate that neither BTEX nor TPHg were present above method detection limits
in collected groundwater samples. Due to consistent analytical results below the detection limits in
wells MW2 and MWS, RESNA requests a reduction in sampling frequency in well MW5 from
quarterly to annually and in well MW2 from quarterly to semi-annually. Well MW5 is located
upgradient from the former tank location and is not expected to be impacted. Well MW2 is located
downgradient from the former tank location, but has never contained diesel hydrocarbons and, is
located approximately 30 feet from well MW6, another downgradient well. Wells MW3 and MW6
will continue to be sampled on a quarterly basis.
If you have any questions or comments, please contact John Lane at our Escalon office (2091838-
3507).
rrr Respectfully,
RESNA Industries, Inc.
ohn P.
