EI Dorado Street, Suite 200 <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> Dear Mr. Pinkerton: <br /> DTSC COMMENTS TO DRAFT REMEDIAL INVESTIGATION REPORT DATED <br /> JUNE 29, 2000: NORTH SHORE PROPERTY, STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br /> The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) has completed its review of the <br /> Draft Remedial Investigation Report dated June 29, 2000, (Report) developed for the <br /> City of Stockton by Treadwell & Rollo. This letter contains comments and encloses a <br /> Memorandum issued by DTSC's Geologic Services Unit (GSU). These comments <br /> and recommendations are requested to be addressed in the final Report, or may be <br /> addressed in other documents (e.g., Feasibility Study or Remedial Action Plan) if <br /> appropriate. If comments will be addressed in another document, please identify this <br /> in your final Report. Comments in this letter are organized in the following manner: <br /> specific comments are identified by section and page and general comments identify <br /> issues that were found in multiple locations in the body of the Report. Please submit a <br /> final Report within two weeks of receiving this letter in order to assist DTSC in <br /> complying with the schedule developed for this project. <br /> SPECIFIC COMMENTS <br /> Section 1.2.1.1 <br /> Pg. 6: Mentioning that arsenic and selenium were at or above method reporting limits <br /> should indicate either the levels detected or the method reporting limits. <br /> Is the reference to total PAHs detected in one of 15 soil samples at 350 mg/kg <br /> accurate (i.e. the mg/kg units)? <br /> Section 1.2.1.2 <br /> Pg. 8: In Figure 3, where is sample location 11 138A located? <br /> ® Printed on Recycled Paper <br />
