This Special Initial Study has also been used to satisfy the requirements of <br /> 711.4, Fish and Game Code and 753.5, Title 14, Code of California Regulations relating to filing of <br /> environmental fees. <br /> 1. PROJECT INFORMATION <br /> Project Name: North Shore Parcels <br /> Site Location: All of the real property, including Lindsay Street, lying north of the Stockton Deep <br /> Water Channel and south of Fremont Street, between Harrison Street and Madison Street, but <br /> excluding the block bounded by Harrison Street, Fremont Street, Lincoln Street and Lindsay Street. <br /> (See Figure 1) <br /> Contact Person: Ms. Kitty Walker <br /> Address: Department of Housing and Redevelopment <br /> City of Stockton <br /> 305 N. EI Dorado Street, Suite 200 <br /> Stockton, California, 95202 <br /> Phone Number: (209) 937-8811 <br /> Project Description: In accordance with California Health and Safety Code, Section 25356.1, a <br /> Remedial Action Plan (RAP) prepared pursuant to this Section requires DTSC's approval. This <br /> Project involves the approval of a RAP for removal of approximately 415 cubic yards of soil <br /> contaminated with the chemicals-of-concern, backfilling the excavation with clean fill, and <br /> institutional controls to restrict residential and sensitive land uses. The chemicals-of-concern relate <br /> to releases of hazardous substances associated with past industrial activities and include lead, <br /> arsenic, total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH), and polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). The <br /> North Shore Parcels (Site) is an area comprised of six property parcels consisting of approximately <br /> 14.5 acres and has been divided into two operable units (OU1 and OU2). These six parcels are <br /> also identified as Areas 10, 11 , 15, 16, 20, and 21 (Project Boundary map is found as Figure 1). <br /> Specific details about the soil removal and grading operations will prepared by the City of Stockton <br /> under a soils management plan in conjunction with the redevelopment activities. <br /> 1 <br />
