The City's primary focus for this meeting is the expedient
resolution of issues relating to the remediation of Stockton's Brownfields, including
Banner Island. As you are aware, future development along both the City's North Shore
and South Shore Areas depends primarily on our ability to produce a clean site in a
timely manner. Secondarily, we are interested in improving the way in which the State
handles Brownfield sites.
A packet of information has been assembled and is enclosed as background material
for this meeting- These attachments include:
1) Letter from Daley and Heft regarding a suggested organizational form to be used
by the State to deal with Brownsfield sites.
2) Scope of work to be performed by DTSC as oversight agency for the Banner
Island Brownfield sites.
3) Schedule for the work contained in the Scope of Work.
The schedule may be the most useful for our discussions since it clearly illustrates the
sequencing and relationship of work. Of copse, it assumes that the results of testing
now underway do not reveal any additional problems.
I look forward to meeting with you next week.
DWANE MILNES
CITY MANAGER
DMJwc
Enciosores www.stocktongov.00m ccld:to attached list
dint i nor
09TOCKTON...CALIFORN IA•9 9U NRf 13E SEAPORT"
