Mr. Jeffery Wong TreadwelEftllo
San Joaquin County Environmental Division
23 December 2003
Page 3
SCHEDULE
Above ground demolition (down to building foundations) is scheduled for the third or fourth
week of January 2004. The subsurface demolition is planned for March 2004. The subsurface
demolition will involve removing some building foundations, subsurface utilities, and likely
reworking the top 20 to 36-inches of the surface at the site. All wells will need to be destroyed
prior to the subsurface demolition.
We plan to destroy all wells except MW-4, MW-5 and the ozone sparging wells SP- 1 through
SP- 10 prior to 15 January 2003 . We plan to keep the ozone sparging system running as long as
possible, and close the ozone sparaging wells just before subsurface demolition begins.
Monitoring wells MW4 and MW-5 will be destroyed in February 2004, after another quarter of
ground water samples are collected.
If you have any questions regarding this workplan please call.
Sincerely yours,
TREADWELL & ROLLO, INC.
ED GFpZ
o.
No . 7065
David G.
