El Dorado St. <br /> Stockton,CA 95231 <br /> RE: Accumulation of waste tires at 8750 S.El Dorado St.,Stockton CA <br /> On February 11,2019, a complaint was received by the Environmental Health Department(EHD)that alleges <br /> that hundreds of tires have been brought onto the property. A site visit by this department was made on February <br /> 12, 2019. A waste tire inspection was done and it was observed that approximately 205 waste tires of various <br /> sizes were stored on the property. Waste tires stored outside,without being covered, pose a potential fire hazard <br /> and allow mosquito breeding. The Public Resources Code and the San Joaquin County Ordinance Code define <br /> waste tires as a solid waste. You are in violation of the following San Joaquin County Ordinance Codes; <br /> 1. Title 5, Chapter 4, Section 5-2400; Accumulation of refuse,waste, and filth is prohibited. <br /> 2. Title 5, Chapter 4, Section 5-2401; Disposal on premises <br /> 3. Title 5,Chapter 4, Section 5-2403; Frequency of removal <br /> You are directed to remove the waste tires from the property by March 12, 2019 and provide documentation to the <br /> EHD by March 19, 2019. Waste tires require special handling. You are allowed to haul up to nine waste tires, per <br /> trip,to a permitted disposal facility or transfer station with out being a registered waste tire hauler,or you can hire a <br /> registered waste tire hauler remove the tires from the site. <br /> Enclosed is a copy of the waste tire inspection report, information regarding the requirements for handling waste <br /> tires and a list of registered waste tire haulers. <br /> If you have any questions regarding this matter,you may contact my staff, Sandip Singh, EHST, at(209)468- <br /> 3526. <br /> Robert McClellon, REHS <br /> Program Coordinator <br /> 1868 E.
