The site is <br /> located within Section 27, Township 3 North, Range 8 East, Mount <br /> Diablo Base and Meridian. This property and the surrounding area <br /> are zoned AG-40 (Agricultural) . The topography of this location <br /> is rolling. There are no waterways or drainage channels crossing <br /> the property. The topographic soils map prepared by the Univer- <br /> sity of California, Berkeley indicates the site is largely <br /> covered by San Joaquin loam soils. For several years, the <br /> subject property has been planted to vineyards and walnuts. <br /> Prior to that time the land was used as pasture. The latest San <br /> Joaquin County Water Conservation District Maps reveal that the <br /> standing water level of the subject site to be at a depth of <br /> approximately 145 feet. This relates to a groundwater elevation <br /> of approximately 35 feet. <br /> Attached is a copy of a percolation test performed on <br /> December 7, 1990, by R. W. Siegfried & Associates, Consulting <br /> Civil Engineers. This test hole reveals that the surface soils <br /> are underlain by San Joaquin loam soils at a depth of approxi- <br /> mately three (31 ) feet. The observed percolation rate was 27 . 8 <br /> minutes per inch. <br /> Within a radius of 1/4 mile of the subject property, there <br /> is one (1) existing residence. There is no history of septic <br /> system failures in this area.
