The site is located within the Southeast 1/4 of
Section 32 , Township 1 North, Range 8 East and the Northeast 1/4
of Section 5, Township 1 South, Range 8 East, Mount Diablo Base
and Meridian.
This property and the surrounding area is zoned AG-40
(Agricultural) . The topography of this location is very flat
with the gradient of approximately 0. 0008 sloping from east to
west. Approximately 600 feet south of the intersection of
Mariposa and Murphy Roads, a small drainage channel crosses
Murphy Road and continues flowing across the northerly portion of
the property in a westerly direction.
The topographic soils map prepared by the University of
California, Berkeley indicates the site is largely covered by
Stockton clay (adobe) soils with smaller areas being covered by
Landlow clay (adobe) soils. For several years, the subject
property has been planted to vineyards. Prior to that time, the
land was used for the cultivation of row crops or pasture.
On March 12 , 1990, measurements were taken by Pacific Gas
and Electric Company which revealed the standing water level of
an irrigation well within the subject site to be at a depth of
115 feet. This relates to a groundwater elevation of
approximately -50 feet.
Attached is a copy of a percolation test performed on
December 5, 1990 by R. W. SIEGFRIED & ASSOCIATES, Consulting
Civil Engineers. This test hole reveals that the surface soils
are underlain by sandy soils at a depth of approximately three
(31 ) feet. The observed percolation rate was 10. 0 minutes per
inch.
C.1SMHILT6657-5.RGC
MAIN OFFICE 4045 CORONADO AVENUE STOCKTON,CALIFORNIA 952042398 Telephone(209)943-2021 FAX Telephone(209)942-0214
TRACY BRANCH OFFICE 3120 TRACY BOULEVARD,SUITE D TRACY,CALIFORNIA 95378.1719 Telephone(209)835-5300
