- -- --- - ' KLEI NFELDER
File No. 20-2982-02
July 20, 1990
ITEM C-3•
"The depth and gradient of the groundwater table. "
During our residence surveys on June 28, 1990, we were
able to measure groundwater in 2 wells. The groundwater
was measured at 128 and 130 feet below existing ground
surface. Regional groundwater maps published by the San
Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation
District, Plate II, indicate groundwater in this area was
approximately 130 to 140 feet below existing ground
surface in the fall of 1989 .
We note that a natural drainage channel runs
approximately east to west through the site. We
recommend that current flood maps be reviewed prior to
construction on the site to determine if there is any
risk of flooding in this area.
Based on County requirements, due to the main groundwater
level below 65 feet deep, we are not required to
establish an on-site groundwater gradient. We are
providing a general estimate of the main groundwater
gradient based on the published maps. Based on the
groundwater map showing lines of equal elevation of
groundwater, Plate III, we conclude that the main
groundwater gradient is in roughly the south direction.
4
