The EHD concurs with the State Water Board since it appears that the soil <br /> vapor extraction (SVE)/in-situ air sparge ( IAS) system that was implemented in April 2014 has <br /> successfully remediated the petroleum hydrocarbon contamination at the site. <br /> The EHD directs that operation of the SVE/IAS system cease immediately. The EHD further <br /> directs that rebound sampling occur during the second and fourth quarters 2015 . Please collect <br /> groundwater samples from monitoring wells MW-1 , MW-2, observation wells OB-1 , OB-2 OW-1 , <br /> OW-2 , vapor extraction wells VW-1 and VW-2 , and extraction well EW-1 . Analyze the samples <br /> for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-g) ; benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total <br /> xylenes (BTEX) ; tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME) and 1 , 2-dichloroethane ( 1 , 2-DCA) . <br /> Enter the survey information for monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-8 (resurveyed in 2008) , <br /> vapor well VW-2 and air sparge wells IAS-2 through IAS-5 into GeoTracker.
