Work Plan Addendum - February 2000
Guardino and Crawford
517 East Fremont Street, Stockton, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION
In accordance with the request of Ms. Pat Guardino, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has
prepared this Work Plan Addendum for the installation of four soil borings, the completion of the
two borings as ground water monitoring wells and the collection of ground water samples at 517
West Fremont Street in Stockton, California (the site). The location of the site is depicted in Figure
1 . A plan of the site is included in Figure 2.
The investigation is performed in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services -
Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage (UST) sites.
2.0. BACKGROUND
Site history and findings from previous investigations and monitoring events at the site are detailed
in Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report (PIER) - 22 September 1997 and Quarterly
Report - June 1999 dated 27 September 1999, prepared by AGE.
3.0. SCOPE OF WORK
The analytical results from the installation of monitoring wells and soil borings indicated that ground
water off the site is possible impacted by petroleum hydrocarbons. Therefore, the PHS-EHD has
request the lateral definition of hydrocarbon-impacted ground water and the vertical definition the
hydrocarbon-impacted soil.
The proposed scope of work presented in this addendum includes the installation of four soil borings,
collection and analysis of soil samples, the completion of two borings off-site as ground water
monitoring wells and the collection of ground water samples. The proposed soil boring locations are
illustrated in Figure 2 . The typical well design specifications are illustrated in Figure 3 .
The proposed scope of work will include the following tasks :
• Permitting and pre-field work activities;
• Soil sample collection and analysis;
k • Ground water sample collection and analysis;
• Monitoring well installation and sampling; and
E,
0 Report preparation.
