INTRODUCTION <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this work plan for installation of one ground <br /> water extraction well, one soil vapor extraction (SVE) well, and one observation well at 517 West <br /> Fremont Street, Stockton, California (the site). Following the well installation, AGE will perform <br /> a feasibility pilot study for soil and ground water remediation. The location of the site is illustrated <br /> in Figure 1 . A plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2. Site background information is included in <br /> Appendix A. <br /> i <br /> This work plan has been prepared as required by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department (EHD) letter, dated 08 March 2007 (Appendix B), and is in accordance with Appendix <br /> A - Reports Tri-Regional Recommendations For Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation of <br /> Underground TankSite, dated 16 Apri12004, preparedbythe Central Valley Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board (CVRWQCB) for the investigation of underground storage tanks (UST) sites and the <br /> State Water Resource Control Board document Guidelines For Investigation and Cleanup of MTBE <br /> and Other Ether-Based Oxygenates, dated 27 March 2000. <br /> 2.0. GROUND WATER DEPTH AND FLOW DIRECTION <br /> Based on data collected during the 2007 ground water monitoring event, first observed ground water <br /> was approximately 14 feet below surface grade (bsg); the ground water flow direction was inferred <br /> to be towards the northeast at calculated gradients of 0.002 to 0.003 foot per foot. <br /> 3.0. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The proposed scope of work will consist of the following tasks: <br /> • Permitting and pre-field work preparations; <br /> • Drilling and soil sample collection; <br /> • Installation of one observation well; <br /> • Installation and development of a ground water extraction well; <br /> • Installation of one SVE well; <br /> • Performance of a SVE pilot test; <br /> • Ground water aquifer extraction (pump) testing; and <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. <br />
