a
Well Installation and Feasibility Studies Work Plan
GUARDINO AND CRAWFORD
517 West Fremont Street, Stockton, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this work plan for installation of one ground
water extraction well, one soil vapor extraction (SVE) well, and one observation well at 517 West
Fremont Street, Stockton, California (the site). Following the well installation, AGE will perform
a feasibility pilot study for soil and ground water remediation. The location of the site is illustrated
in Figure 1 . A plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2. Site background information is included in
Appendix A.
i
This work plan has been prepared as required by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department (EHD) letter, dated 08 March 2007 (Appendix B), and is in accordance with Appendix
A - Reports Tri-Regional Recommendations For Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation of
Underground TankSite, dated 16 Apri12004, preparedbythe Central Valley Regional Water Quality
Control Board (CVRWQCB) for the investigation of underground storage tanks (UST) sites and the
State Water Resource Control Board document Guidelines For Investigation and Cleanup of MTBE
and Other Ether-Based Oxygenates, dated 27 March 2000.
2.0. GROUND WATER DEPTH AND FLOW DIRECTION
Based on data collected during the 2007 ground water monitoring event, first observed ground water
was approximately 14 feet below surface grade (bsg); the ground water flow direction was inferred
to be towards the northeast at calculated gradients of 0.002 to 0.003 foot per foot.
3.0. SCOPE OF WORK
The proposed scope of work will consist of the following tasks:
• Permitting and pre-field work preparations;
• Drilling and soil sample collection;
• Installation of one observation well;
• Installation and development of a ground water extraction well;
• Installation of one SVE well;
• Performance of a SVE pilot test;
• Ground water aquifer extraction (pump) testing; and
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
