Quarterly Report -Second Quarter 2003 <br /> ' GUARDINO AND CRAWFORD <br /> 517 West Fremont Street, Stockton, California <br /> ' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Guardino and Crawford Construction,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) <br /> has prepared this quarterly report for 517 West Fremont Street, Stockton, California(the site) The <br /> site and its surroundings are illustrated on Figure 1 Structures,boring and monitoring well locations <br /> are shown on Figure 2 <br /> This quarterly report has been prepared in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality <br /> ' Control Board(CVRWQCB)guidelines for investigations of underground storage tank(UST)sites <br /> Background information is summarized in the AGE-prepared Quarterly Report-June 1999,dated <br /> 27 September 1999 <br /> ' 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> Six ground water monitoring wells were purged and sampled on 03 June 2003 Field work was <br /> performed in accordance with San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD)- <br /> approved Site Assessment Work Plan Addendum, dated 07 May 1998, and Work Plan Addendum, <br /> dated 04 February 2001,both prepared by AGE <br /> 1 <br /> 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION <br /> A Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in the six monitoring <br /> wells relative to the tops of the well casings The ground water elevations and gradient were <br />' determined from these data (Table 1) <br /> After recording water level measurements, new dedicated disposable plastic bailers were used to <br />' evacuate (purge) each monitoring well of standing water Approximately 5 to 10 gallons of water <br /> (minimum of 3 casing-water volumes) were removed from each well Ground water temperature, <br /> pH and conductivity were measured at regular intervals during purging using an Oakton water <br />' analyzer Field sheets and data are included in Appendix A Purged water was stored on-site in <br /> labeled, 55-gallon DOT-approved drums <br />' <br /> 22 COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS OF GROUND WATERLE <br /> SAMP S <br />' Prior to collection of ground water samples,the depth to ground water was measured in each purged <br /> well to ensure that a minimum of 80%of the initial well volume had recharged Then a water sample <br />' was collected from each purged well using the dedicated disposable plastic bailer Each water sample <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
