INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Guardino and Crawford Construction,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) <br /> has prepared this quarterly report for 517 West Fremont Street, Stockton, California(the site) The <br /> site and its surroundings are illustrated on Figure 1 Structures,boring and monitoring well locations <br /> 1 are shown on Figure 2 <br /> This quarterly report has been prepared in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board(CVRWQCB)guidelines for investigations of underground storage tank(UST)sites <br /> Background information is summarized in the AGE-prepared Quarterly Report-June 1999,dated <br /> 27 September 1999 <br /> 2 0. PROCEDURES <br /> Six ground water monitoring wells were purged and sampled on 14 March 2002 Field work was <br /> performed in accordance with San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD)- <br />' approved. Site Assessment Work Plan Addendum, dated 07 May 1998, and Work Plan Addendum, <br /> dated 04 February 2001, both prepared by AGE <br />' 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION <br />' A Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in the six monitoring <br /> wells relative to the tops of the well casings The ground water elevations and gradient were <br />' determined from these data(Table 1) <br /> After recording water level measurements, new disposable plastic bailers were used to evacuate <br />' (purge)each monitoring well of standing water Approximately 5 3 to 10 gallons of water(minimum <br /> of 3 casing-water volumes) were removed from each well Ground water temperature, pH and <br /> conductivity were measured at regular intervals during purging using an Oakton water analyzer <br />' Field sheets and data are included in Appendix A Purged water was stored on-site in labeled, <br /> 55-gallon DOT-approved drums <br /> 2 2 COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br />' Prior to collection of ground water samples, the depth to ground water was gauged in each purged <br /> well to ensure that a minimum of 80%of the initial well volume had recharged Then water samples <br /> were collected from each purged well using new disposable plastic bailers Each water sample was <br />' Advanced GeoEnvaronmental,Inc <br />
