� � I <br />' MAY 2 5 2001 <br /> •1� il_I Ii it 41 Es_3kl� <br /> Quarterly Report - Fourth Quarter 2000 U,��If, <br /> Guardino and Crawford <br /> 517 West Fremont Sti eet, Stockton, California <br /> t1 0 INTRODUCTION <br />' At the request of GLIardino and Crawford Construction, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc , (AGE) <br /> has prepared this quarterly report for 517 West Fremont Street, Stockton, California (the site) The <br /> site and Its surroundings are illustrated on Figure 1 Structures, boring and monitoring well locations <br />' are shown on Figure 2 <br /> The objective of fourth quarter Investigation activities was to characterize, assess and monitor <br />' concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons In soil and ground water and to characterize ground water <br /> flow direction and gradient at the site This report was prepared in accordance with guidelines <br /> established by the California Regional Water Quality Control Board - Central Valley Division for <br />' Investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites Summarys of previous Investigations <br /> conducted at the site were Included In Preliminary Investzgatzon and Evaluation Report(PIER) dated <br /> 09 March 1999, and in Quarterly Report -June 1999, dated 27 September 1999, prepared by AGE <br />' Briefly forthq uarter site assessment dates and activities Included <br /> • 06 November 2000 - Installation of ground water monitoring wells MW-5 and MW-6 <br /> • 14 November 2000 - Installation of soil probe borings P9 through P 11 <br />' 0 15 November 2000- Quarterly ground water monitoring and sampling event at wells MW-1 <br /> through MW-6 <br /> 2.0. DRILLING PROCEDURES <br />' On 06 November 2000 two ground water wells were Installed off-site On 14 November 2000, soil <br />' probe borings P9, PI and P11 were Installed at the site Soil and grab ground water sampling <br /> procedures and monitoring well Installation procedures for the site were outlined in Work Plan <br /> Addendum- February 2000 dated 04 February 2000 prepared by AGE and approved by the PHS- <br />' EHD by letter dated 09 February 2000 <br /> Soil bormg/monitonng wells MW-5 and MW-6 were advanced at the site as part of assessment <br />' activities related to the former USTs at the site Soil borings MW-5 and MW-6 were advanced <br /> vertically to depths of 25 feet be-ImV surface grade (bsg),utilizing a CME-75 high torque, truck- <br /> mounted drill rig equipped with 8-inch diameter hollow-stem augers All soil cuttings generated <br />' from drilling activities were placed in properly labeled DOT-approved model 17H 55-gallon drams <br /> and were stored on-site in an area lacking public access, soil boring/monitoring well locations are <br /> depicted in Figure 2 <br /> 1 <br /> Advanced Goo Environinon tal,Inc <br />
