25 November 2005
AGE-NC Project No 95-0167
' 32 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
During the March 2005 ground water monitoring event, TPH-g was detected in ground water
' samples collected from monitoring well MW-1 at a concentration of 900 micrograms per liter(lig/1)
BTEX compounds were detected in the ground water samples collected from monitoring well MW-1
at a concentration of 600 gg/l benzene,46 µg11 toluene,and 76 µg11 total xylenes(ethylbenzene was
non-detect for the sample collected from MW-1 this quarter)
' Fuel additives 1,2 Dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) and t-Amyl Methly Ether (TAME) were detected in
MW-1, at concentrations of 5 3 µg/1 and 13 lig/l, respectively
' Analytical results of ground water samples collected during the March 2005 monitoring event are
summarized in Table 2 Figure 4 illustrates the estimated lateral distribution of dissolved TPH-g at
the site The laboratory report(CTEL ProjectNo CT214-0503266),quality assurance/quality control
' (QA/QC) report, and chain of custody forms are included in Appendix C Documents confirming
the upload of laboratory electronic deliverable format(EDF)files and depth to water measurements
to GeoTracker are included in Appendix F
1
4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
' •• On 25 March 2005 depths to ground water ranged from 13 78 to 14 61 feet below the tops
of the well casings Ground water elevations at the site averaged approximately 2 98 feet
below mean sea level (MSL), indicating an average elevation increase of 2 6 feet since the
last monitoring event in December 2004
' • Ground water flow was determined to be towards the east-northeast under a hydraulic
gradient ranging from 0 002 to 0 004 ft/ft
' TPH-g was detected in ground water samples collected from monitoring well MW-1 at a
concentration of 900µg/1 BTEX compounds were detected in the ground water samples
collected from monitoring well MW-1 at concentrations 600 µg/l benzene, 46 µg11 toluene,
' and 76 µgll total xylenes
• The lateral extent of petroleum hydrocarbon contamination is fully defined as of this
' quarter's monitoring event to the west by well MW-3, to the south by well MW-7, to the
east by well MW-5,to the northeast by well MW-2-, and to the north by well MW-4 boring
CPT-1
' Advanced GeoEnvnronmental,Inc
