INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Dave and Pat Guardino of Guardino and Crawford Construction, Advanced <br />' GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this Quarterly Report - Third Quarter 2004 for the <br /> property located at 517 West Fremont Street,Stockton,California(site) The scope of work included <br /> the installation and development of two additional ground water monitoring wells, performance of <br /> ' a quarterly ground water monitoring event,advancement of one paired cone penetrometer test(CPT) <br /> boring, and preparation of this report The site and surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1 <br /> Structures, soil borings, and monitoring well locations are illustrated on Figure 2 Additional site <br /> background information is provided in Appendix A <br /> ' 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> ' Field work was conducted in accordance with guidelines issued by the Central Valley Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)for the investigation of underground storage tank(UST) <br /> sites and San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)guidelines for the sampling <br /> lie <br /> of ground water monitoring wells Cone penetrometer testing, monitoring well installation, and <br /> sampling procedures are outlined in the AGE-prepared Additional Sue Assessment Work Plan, dated <br /> 13 August 2004 <br /> 2 1 MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION AND DEVELOPMENT <br /> ' Two additional ground water monitoring wells(MW-7 and MW-8)were installed on 20 September <br /> 2004, developed and sampled on 24 September 2004, and surveyed on 05 October 2004 <br /> 2 1 1 Drilling and Sampling <br /> On 20 er 2004� two Pilot soil borings (September MW-7 and MW-8)were advanced to 25 feet below <br /> P g <br /> surface grade (bsg) utilizing a CME-75HT drill rig equipped with 8-inch diameter hollow-stem <br /> ' augers The drill rig and two-man crew were supplied by Mitchell Drilling Environmental from <br /> Sacramento, California Auger returns generated during the drilling were containerized in properly <br /> ' labeled,Department of Transportation(DOT)-approved 55-gallon drums and stored on-site pending <br /> proper disposal <br /> ' Soil samples were collected ahead of the drill bit using a California modified split-spoon sampler <br /> loaded with three pre-cleaned,2-inch by 6-inch brass sleeves The samples were collected from the <br /> pilot borings at 5-foot intervals,beginning at 5 feet bsg,using a 140-pound hammer to advance the <br /> ' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
