Ile 25 August 2004
AGE-NC Project No 95-0167
' Laboratories (CTEL), a State of California Department of Health Services (DHS)-certified
laboratory, and were analyzed for
' 6 Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) in accordance with EPA
Method 8015 Modified,
t0 Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX) and the fuel additives methyl-
tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETBE),
tertiary-amyl methyl ether(TAME),tertiarybutyl alcohol(TBA), 1,2-dibromoethane(EDB)
and 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) in accordance with EPA Method 8260B
' 3.0. FINDINGS
Ground water flow direction, elevation, and gradient were determined from data collected in the
' field The hydrocarbon impact to ground water was quantified by the laboratory data obtained from
the ground water samples
Ile
3 1 GROUND WATER ELEVATION AND GRADIENT
For the June 2004 sampling event, depths to ground water ranged from 15 43 feet to 16 25 feet below
the tops of the well casings Ground water elevations at the site averaged approximately 6 7 feet
' below mean sea level (MSL) an average elevation decrease of 1 01 feet since the last monitoring
event Ground water was within the screened interval of each well thus producing an accurate
sampling of the first encountered ground water
The ground water flow direction was determined by plotting and contouring the ground water
elevation data The shape of the water table at the time of the June 2004 monitoring event was in the
' form of a west-northwest-plunging trough Net flow of ground water at the site was determined to
be to the northwest under an average gradient of approximately 0 01 feet/feet Figure 3 illustrates the
contoured ground water elevations as measured in June 2004
32 LABORATORY RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
' TPH- was detected in the water samples collected from monitoring well MW-1 at a concentration
g p g
' of 20,000 micrograms per liter (µg/1)
' Advanced GcoEnvironmental,Inc
1
